SCIENTIFIC ADVISORY BOARD
The Scientific Advisory Board is responsible for providing an external independent evaluation of the project on a regular basis by:
a) Assessing the periodic reports and main deliverable reports;
b) Providing independent advice on the project status and direction;
c) Commenting on proposals for major updates of the work plan;
d) The board will liaise closely with the independent Ethical Working Group
INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY (IP) COMMITTEE
The committee will provide advice (not decision) on IP issues to the Steering Committee and Work-package Leaders for decision making and will ensure the application of the IP section of the Project Agreement. The IP committee will update regularly list of IP
The IP Committee will be composed of 4 experts on Intellectual Property representing each one partner profile.
ETHICAL WORKING GROUP
Because of the highly sensitive issue of research on human tissue and even more of stem cell research using human embryonic stem cells, the partners in the MIP-DILI are especially aware of the need for a very careful treatment of ethical issues of life sciences, as well as they take the best care of the legal environment of their work. MIP-DILI participants are aware and will conform to the International, European and National legislations in all the various aspects of the research
The Ethical working group provides advice (not decision body) on ethical issues to the Steering Committee and Work-package Leaders for decision making.
The Ethical working group will be composed of 4 experts on ethical issues representing each one partner profile: one representative from Academia, one representative from an SME and one representative from the EFPIA and one independent expert.
